The Samoan Tattoo -Link article about Samoan tattoo
This article explains the different tattoos that the Samoan's do. There are actually quite a few kinds of tattoos. It explains the difference in the tattoos from traditional ones to just fashion tattoos. I want to focus more on the traditional tattoos that puts a meaning to their traditions and culture. In this article it goes more in depth with how they do it, and why they do it, and what their beliefs are on these traditional tattoos. It also explains what the meaning to getting these traditional tattoos. An example I saw was the significance of the traditional tattoo called "pe'a" for the guys is meant to show that the person wearing it holds a Chief tittle within the village or district. I think that tattoos are good illustrations that represent this culture. Of course, tattoos will not be the only thing I will be researching about, but it's one that I will look into.
